1. Of the Whole Bible - We believe
the Scriptures both of God, and are a revelation of God to all men. They
are the infallible authoritative rule of faith and conduct. (II Tim 3:15)
2. Of the Holy Trinity - We believe
in the eternal ONE God, eternally existent in three persons, GOD the Father,
GOD the Son, and GOD the Holy Spirit. (II Cor 13:14)
3. Of the Deity of Christ - We believe in the deity of Chirst and His:
Virgin Birth - Matt 1:23
Sinless Life - Heb. 7:26
Miracles - Acts 2:22
Atoning Death - I Cor 15:3
Resurrection from the dead - I Cor 15:4
Ascension to God - Acts 1:9
Future return to earth - Acts 1:11
4. Of Salvation - We believe that man's
only hope for redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Salvation
is received by repentance toward God and faith toward Jesus Christ. Being
justified by grace through grace, man becomes an heir of God according
to the hope of Eternal Life. (Luke 24:27)
5. Of Baptism in Water - We believe
baptism by immersion is commanded in the Scriptures. All who repent and
receive Christ as Saviour and Lord are to be baptize. Thus, they declare
to the world that they have died with Christ and have risen with Him to
walk in the newness of life. The ordinance of baptism should be administered
by immersion in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. (Rom
6:4)
6. Of Sanctification - We believe
that sanctification is the act of separation from that which is evil and
dedication unto god. Sanctification is realized in the believer with his
identification with Christ in His death, resurrection and by offering every
faculty continually in dominion of the Holy Spirit. (Rom 6:1)
7. Of Baptism in the
Holy Ghost - We believe every believer should ardently expect and earnestly
seek the promise of the Father, the baptism of the Holy Spirit with fire.
With it comes the endowment of power for life and service and the bestowment
of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry. (Luke 24:49; Acts
1:4-8; 1 Cor, 1:31) The baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is witnessed
by the initial physical sign of speaking in tongues as the spirit gives
them utterance. (Acts 2:4)
8. Of a Holy Life - The Scriptures
teach a life of holiness without which no man can see the Lord. By the
Holy ghost we are able to receive the command, "Be ye holy, for I am holy".
(II Peter 1:15-16)
9. Of Divine Healing - We believe
divine healing is an integral part of the Gospel. Deliverance from sickness
is part of the atonement, and is privileged to all believers. (Isa 53:4-5)
10. Of Heaven - We, according to His promise
look for new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness. (I
Peter 3:13)
11. Of Hell - There will be a final judgment
of the wicked dead according to their works. Whosoever is not written in
the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels shall be consigned
to eternal punishment in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone.
(Rev 19:20)
12. Of the Church - The Church is the
Body of Christ, a habitation unto God through the Spirit with divine appointments
to the fulfillment to her great commission. All believers, born of the
Spirit are part of the general assembly, the Church of the first born,
which are written in heaven. (Eph 1:22)
13. Of Justification - A judicial
act of God whereby He justly declares righteous and individual who believes
in Jesus Christ as personal Saviour.
14. Of the Lord's Supper - The
Lords supper consists of the elements, bread and the fruit of the vine
is the symbol expressing the sharing of the divine nature of Jesus Christ
(II Peter 1:4), a memorial of his suffering and death (I Cor. 11:26), and
a prophecy of His second coming (I Cor 11:26) and is enjoined on all believers
until He comes.
15. Of the Blessed Hope - We believe in the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord. This is the emminent and blessed hope of the Church. (I Thes. 4:16-17)
